Frequently asked questions

Do I need IT expertise?

No. DomainRadar shows an overall grade, traffic lights and the most important next step in plain words. The technical details are there when you or your IT partner need them.

What is DMARC anyway?

DMARC is a record in your DNS. It tells mail servers what to do with emails that claim to come from your domain but fail the check: deliver them (p=none), put them in spam (p=quarantine) or reject them (p=reject). Mail providers send reports about this, which DomainRadar analyses.

Does DomainRadar read my emails?

No. DMARC reports contain no email content, only sending servers, counts and check results. The Microsoft 365 connection is also read-only and analyses settings and anomalies.

Can DomainRadar disrupt my email?

No. All checks are read-only; DomainRadar changes none of your settings. You only move to p=reject once the assistant rates it as safe.

What do I need to set up?

For the DMARC analysis, one DNS record that we specify exactly. The other checks work without setup. The Microsoft 365 connection is optional.

How long is my data kept?

Raw reports are deleted after 90 days, analyses after 13 months. Who processes data on our behalf is listed on the “Sub-processors” page.

Our IT partner looks after our IT. Does that work together?

Yes. IT partners can also offer DomainRadar under their own name and manage it for you. More on the Resellers page.

How much does DomainRadar cost?

Basis costs CHF 19 per month (up to 2 domains), Business CHF 59 per month (up to 5 domains). These are final prices: Not registered for VAT, no VAT is charged. With a yearly plan you get 1 month free: CHF 210 or CHF 650 per year. Parked domains that send no email are not counted. Pro for 15 or more domains and setup by us (all the way to full protection, p=reject) are available on request.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

You test Business for 14 days without a credit card. The trial ends on its own. Nothing is charged automatically and no plan is taken out; your data stays readable. You only get a plan if you expressly order it.

How do I cancel?

With a short email to info@domainradar.ch – no reason needed. The plan is open-ended and can be cancelled at any time with 1 month’s notice; details are set out in the terms. You can export your data up to 30 days after the end of the contract; we delete it 30 days after the end of the contract.
